Typical Stick Grip Switch Combinations for Aircraft WITH Electric Flaps or Electric Canard Speed Brake AND Autopilot:

#1 (thumb operated 4-way switch via China Hat) -- Pitch and Roll Trim. If you are not going to have Roll Trim, or determine your plane rarely needs roll trim, mount the electric roll trim switch elsewhere and use the side-to-side motion of the trim switch for Comm Flip/Flop and Ident or comm select ;

#2 (index finger) -- PTT

#3 (thumb side) -- Flaps or Canard Speed Brake - ON/OFF/(ON) toggle switch using a limit switch on the UP side in series with the Flaps/Speed Brake motor (99+% of customers use this switch), or use a spring loaded-to-center (ON)/OFF/(ON) toggle switch which means you'll have to hold the Flaps/Speed Brake switch UP during a touch-and-go or go-around to get the Flaps/Speed Brake all the way UP -- not a good idea [most (99+ %) don't use this spring loaded-to-center (ON)/OFF/(ON) toggle switch because of this need/distraction of holding the switch UP during a touch-and-go or go-around to get the Flaps/Speed Brake all the way UP, AND you do NOT have your strong side thumb wrapped around the Stick Grip];

#4 (half way down, thumb side) -- Auto Pilot Disconnect and Control Wheel Steering (CWS) -- Blue Mountain, Tri-Avionics and Tru-Trak all use a Normally Open push-button (8632 N.O.) ;

#5 (pinky switch) -- Auxiliary Fuel Pump ON/OFF (8636) push-button;

#6 (thumb operated, knuckle side of hand) -- Engine Start Normally Open (8632 N.O.) push-button ( relay not required ).
